Role Overview

We’re seeking a Blockchain Developer with strong Ethereum experience to help us design and build a secure blockchain infrastructure that protects legal documents through decentralized verification and immutability. This is an equity-based role, ideal for a mission-driven innovator eager to shape the foundation of a next-generation LegalTech platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain for document authentication, timestamping, and ownership verification.
• Integrate blockchain protocols into Legal Chain’s AI-powered legal document platform.
• Ensure scalability, performance, and integrity across blockchain layers.
• Collaborate with AI engineers, product teams, and legal experts to align blockchain functionality with product goals.
• Research and implement the latest Ethereum Layer 2 solutions (e.g., Polygon, Arbitrum) for gas optimization and speed.
• Maintain best practices for blockchain security, deployment, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing and deploying smart contracts using Solidity.
• Strong understanding of Ethereum, EVM, and blockchain architecture.
• Experience with web3.js / ethers.js, Node.js, and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with decentralized storage solutions (e.g., IPFS, Arweave).
• Understanding of cryptographic concepts and data integrity.
• Startup or early-stage product experience is a plus.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
