Once live, it will anchor a cryptographic hash of every completed document to Ethereum — the world's most widely used public blockchain — creating a tamper-evident, time-stamped record that anyone will be able to verify without a Legal Chain account, without trusting Legal Chain, and without a third-party intermediary. If a document is altered after anchoring, the hash will not match.

Blockchain Anchoring vs Traditional Document Integrity
Traditional document integrity mechanisms — e-signature audit trails, version history in cloud storage, access logs — are controlled by the platform that created them. If the platform is compromised, acquired, or simply makes an error, the audit trail may be altered or lost.
